Hi, my name is Richard Marquis, for the past 40 years I have
been coaching and teaching basketball through my clinics
and classes all over the world. Play Smarter Basketball
Classes is a year round development program with three
convenient locations. Our staff is committed in teaching the
students all the fundamentals of basketball to make it more
fun and enjoyable for recreation or serious competition.
Our goal is to build their individual skill to give them
confidence to perform on any team or level. Improving their
communication, teamwork and character along the way.
Creating a foundation by teaching the proper techniques of
ball handling, passing, shooting, footwork, stance and
rebounding. Executing team oriented defensive and
offensive schemes and how to push the ball up on the fast
break.
We have an experienced group, all developed in these
classes, of high school and collegiate athletes as counselors
under my supervision. They will teach and lead our students
by example.
